What is BGMC?  It stands for Boys and Girls Missionary Challenge.  BGMC is the missions education emphasis for children in the Assemblies of God. It teaches kids about missions and supports our missionaries in their fields of ministry in America and around the world.

Buddy Barrels are the most often recognized component of BGMC.  These yellow plastic barrel banks are given to each child.  The goal for these is for the students to earn and raise their own money to put in their Buddy Barrel and bring to church each monthly “BGMC Day”.  The money raised through Buddy Barrel offerings is sent to the National BGMC office to be used to support missionaries around the world.

The first Sunday of each month is “BGMC Day” here in the PowerHouse!  This is when students bring in their Buddy Barrel offerings for the month.  The lesson for that day will focus on a different aspect of missions work which benefits from BGMC.
